Thorough washing
After removing the tick, make sure to thoroughly wash all clothing and bedding the tick came into contact with. We do this using high temperatures. We also vacuum the affected area, paying particular attention to crevices and corners.
Tick removal
Take fine-tipped tweezers and grasp the tick as close to the skin surface as possible. Pull slowly upwards, but avoid twisting or tugging to ensure the tick’s head doesn’t break off and remain embedded in the skin.

After removing the tick, you should disinfect the wound and you can flush the tick down the toilet.

It is a good idea to look at all bite sites and also observe the person for any symptoms of illness.
